  • The Kennedy family has had a significant and enduring influence on American politics for many decades. Be it Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or the 35th President John F. Kennedy; their names have come to represent the state of events in the United States.

The Kennedys have received both praise and condemnation for their deeds, much like any other political family. While some of the more recent lineages have chosen to pursue various professions, others are making an attempt at the family company. In this article, we will reveal five things about William Finbar Kennedy, a young member of the large Kennedy family.

    5. Belongs to an Esteemed Family

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Mary Richardson, welcomed their son William Finbar Kennedy, born in November 1997 in Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mount Kisco.

  • As a member of the iconic household, William Finbar graced his presence as the 51st member of his generation in the Kennedy family. Further, his parents chose his middle name after St. Finbar, a sixth-century monk from County Wexford in Ireland, which is the ancestral home of the Kennedy family.

Talking about William’s family background, his father, Robert Kennedy’s first wife, was Emily Ruth Black, with whom he fathered two children, Bobby Kennedy III, and Kathleen Alexandra Kennedy.

After his divorce from Emily, Robert married Mary, and they welcomed three other children besides William. Therefore, Finbar has two brothers named Conor Richardson Kennedy and Aiden Caohman Kennedy (b: 2001). Further, he has a sister named Kyra LeMoyne Kennedy.

Since 2014, Finbar’s father, Robert Kennedy Jr., has been married to Cheryl Hines, an actress, and comedian known for appearing in HBO’s show Curb Your Enthusiasm.

  • 4. William Finbar Kennedy Went Through a Tragic Loss

William was just in his mid-teens when his mother, Mary Richardson, tragically died in her Bedford home in New York. Mary, who was married to a prestigious family and was an architect, took her own life by hanging.

Mary Richardson, in her latter years, began abusing drugs and alcohol. Her then-husband, Robert, in 2010 had filed for a divorce, and the case was still pending at the time of her death.

As per reports, William’s mother, before a few years of her death, had been going through severe depression. Apart from huge credit card debt, she always feared that she would lose the home she built for her family.

William and his siblings had to go through a difficult and challenging experience at a young age. Mary’s funeral took place at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Redford by the Kennedy family, while the Richardson family organized a memorial service in Manhattan at the Standard Hotel in May 2012.
